Suture / Stitch Removal

Removal of the stitches should usually be 1-2 weeks after the application. However, this period may vary depending on the anatomical location. Removal of sutures at the right time reduces the risk of suture scars, infection and tissue reaction. The average wound usually reaches the expected healing state 1-2 weeks after surgery. However, it is also inconvenient to remove the sutures too early in order to prevent the opening and spread of the wound.

  • It's an outpatient procedure and hospitalisation is not needed.
